POP Containers are a dry food storage container, and have an airtight seal to help maintain food freshness.

They are not leakproof in the same way as a wet food storage container. While air cannot enter or exit past the container´s seal, water has a larger mass than air and, due to the design of the seal, the mass of water may dislodge the seal or, if the container is turned on its side or upside down, may dislodge the lid, resulting in the water leaking.

The intended use of the product is important to its seal design and this is why we are comfortable claiming air tight, but not water tight for these containers.
